Oogly Onigiri

This is my husband's favourite "snack" while playing play station or as his breakfast.
Why ugly? because it is in-fact ugly LOL.. I still don't have the gift to shape a normal onigiri with my barehands, and still require the onigiri molder (yet don't have it to date).

My Japanese best friend taught me how to make an onigiri years ago. I always love onigiri because it's so delish and (say the magic words)--> it's simple wkwk - however, mine is never contained an umeboshi because I think it tastes weird (to me). My personal favorite is the one with fried salmon chunk and just a little bit of salt, but I also make various other types with anything available in the pantry. Most of the time, I make the salmon furikake onigiri and bonito flakes onigiri. Rice selection plays a major role as well, in which not all rice suitable for an onigiri. However, rest assure that most of Japonica rice is good for an onigiri. Again, my personal choice is the Koshihikari.

The above is the one with bonito flakes, and below is the one with salmon furikake.

Hopefully I can improve the shape before I buy an onigiri molder. Must learn the hard way first tho wkwk. I serve it cold, like a revenge (*rolling my eyes, I can see my own brain*)
