Having found the tender meat hack and learned from the stupidity in the name of curiosity, I was trying out the hack with this menu. Indo peeps must have known how tiring it is to cook beef rendang. Excluding the 512 herbs and spices, it's kinda hard to cook until the meat is totally tender. Racing with times, meat vs. coco milk. Finally, finished in 2 hours including the whole herbs and spices preparation.

The fun thing about self-cooking rendang is how I can control the "pungency" level. I love chilly so much and I like my rendang to be hot haha.. well not 100% my level because need to consider husband's level. So it's even both for me and husband.

It involves more than 10 herbs & spices, molded into various shapes.

Browning the meat whilst seasoning it. Stir stir stir.

Coco milk is added and thicken. Keep on stirring. It has to be stirred all the time to avoid scorching and failure.

Be patient, it's almost done - yea 30 minutes later, non-stop stirring with 500 horse power.
Highlights:
Prepare an adequate times + energy. It's gonna be a long period of preparation and cooking. The rendang will need to be stirred until it's done so never stop! get your muscles prepared.
Taste the herbs & spices first. If you haven't tried to cook rendang, I suggest you to firstly taste each of the herbs & spices especially the followings: cardamom, nutmeg, clove, candlenut, coriander, cumin, cinnamon, and star anise. Recipes might indicate the precise measure but then again those are quite strong-tasted spices, that don't go with everyone. If we taste them first, raw, then we will have a feel on what it's gonna be in our food. So I strongly recommend you to taste each of the spices first. Test the water (spices)!
Use the stainless steel pan/wok. Believe it or not, it's gonna be different when we use the non-stick ones, I have experienced both. It's gonna be sticky at the end but just at the very end when your rendang is ready (after 1 hour in the wok).
This is my kind of less-guilt food, because cooking rendang burns 5 million calories.
