Last month me, my husband and our friends went for a liveaboard ("LOB") scuba diving trip around Flores sea and Komodo National Park, Indonesia, for 7 days. Finally, after being quarantined for 6 months, we experienced the LOB trip under the new normal regime. Whereas all crew and passengers are required to submit the valid rapid antibody test for Sars-Cov-2, along with the health statement letter issued by the relevant institution.

We enjoyed the trip so much as Flores is one of our favorite dive sites (ps: the other one is Banda sea). We have been diving here for a couple of times and still adore it much until now. Not just because of the mere beauty but also the excitement of various challenging dive sites like Shotgun, Crystal/Castle Rock and Taka Makassar. Indeed, we'd love to do the drift diving wkwk. LOB trip is my favorite part of a diving trip. In 2018 and 2019, I went for an LOB trip to Banda sea in search for schooling hammerhead shark, for 11 days. I'd prefer an LOB trip nowadays because I really love sailing and I can have an unlimited diving until night. I want to have a pinisi one day and live there with my husband, sailing and diving all over Indonesia and Philippine only (because those 2 are the best in the world). Perhaps some additional surfing trip as well because I also like to surf.
OK, enough with the mumbo jumbo daydreaming, here some pictures of our new normal LOB diving trip with Cordelia Pinisi.

This is Rangko cave. It contains a crystal clear sea water so we can happily swim there. So fresh, swimming in a cave.

We were stopping by the Gili Lawa island. I was snorkelling there while waited for our night dive right after the sunset. It was so beautiful.

A stop. over to catch the sunrise at Padar island. Mandatory lol. Under the new normal regime, visitors are limited, so it was really-really quiet there. Last time I was here, no staircase at all, so we had to climbed up the hill. Now, there exists the stone staircase and indeed, an entry fee. All and all, it's nice.

With the cruise director and all the LOB divers.

Our group aerial view haha... so pink from above. Pink Beach.

I was imitating the cover album of Nirvana "Nevermind". Think it looks like "Weird Al" Yankovic hehe. Just a noice try.

Swimming and tanning. So my skin is the Asian white pale type. I'd prefer a tanned one tho, because I look better (and feel more confidence) in tanned skin LOL.

Up up on the hill.

Actually this is our wedding anniversary trip. We usually have an annual wedding anniv trip. Be it diving, surfing or hiking - and spent several days at the exotic tropical places. Hehe happy 5th wedding anniversary and 12th year coupleversary.

We met many gigantic rays, black tip sharks and other small critters, while having experienced many challenging (adrenaline rush type) of current wkwkwk. So fun. Oh I'm not gonna share my under water photography here - because it's the portion of Instagram, but one won't hurt tho.
OK, think the intermezzo is enough. Stay safe everyone. I'll be back with my #ProjectMirin.
